Great opportunity for a local person that wants to be involved within an administrative role within the property and lettings industry. Duties will include daily management of properties, answering phones dealing with enquiries and clients face to face. Incentives will also be provided for new properties taken on by the apprentice.

This is a customer-facing role with responsibility to secure successful property letting.

Your roles and responsibilities will include:


  • Pay landlords the rent each month
  • Organise viewings
  • Selecting responsible, reliable tenants.
  • Organise gas safety, energy performance and electrical safety certificates/inspections
  • Efficiently deal with Landlord and Tenant enquiries
  • Registering applicants
  • Feedback to Landlords, Tenants and Applicants following viewings
  • Organising maintenance with various contractors, handymen, gas engineers, window fitters, roofers etc.
  • Deal with references
  • Register, protect and return deposits
  • General Administrative duties
  • Customer Services based duties
  • Taking and receiving telephone calls/messages
  • Dealing with queries and enquiries from clients and processing these
  • Managing files
  • Send emails/letters
  • Sales and marketing - marketing available properties including taking photos, drawing up floorplans and descriptions of new properties.
  • Carrying out property research, including marketing procedures through portals, websites and various databases.
  • Attend various landlord and network meetings


To be able to organise and plan work in a flexible manner to ensure tasks are prioritised and completed within agreed timescales.


To use appropriate communication and interpersonal skills such as active listening


You will be required to know how to manage the relationship with the customer.  Know the importance of written, verbal and non-verbal communication (including body language), email, letter, telephone and personal etiquette.


Appropriate use of social media sites, i.e. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and smartphone applications


The role will include other responsibilities which will develop as the business grows.
